Advanced Seminar WS 20/21
Introduction to state-of-the-art experiments in condensed matter physics
Mo. 14:00-15:00 h at the II. Physikalisches Institut, University of Cologne.
The aim of this advanced seminar is to give an introduction to different state-of-the-art experimental techniques that are currently used in modern condensed matter research. Depending on your interests the discussed topics range from different in-house laboratory measurement setups to specialized techniques that are offered in various large-scale facilities all over the word. The idea is that each talk should first introduce some kind(s) of experimental methods and explain their technical realization. Then some example should be presented where these experimental techniques have been used to give new insights in current condensed matter research.
All Advanced Seminar talks will be given via online video conferences.
